Racer Athletics Male Spotlight

Kolton Brammer – Men’s Basketball
If you’ve attended a Racer basketball game this season, you’ve no doubt noticed Kolton Brammer, the sharp-shooting senior guard who consistently makes an impact on the court.
Recently, Racer Athletic Director Jeff Brickman caught up with Kolton and asked what makes him such a strong basketball player and teammate. Kolton shared that he began playing basketball when he was about four years old at the YMCA. His favorite part of the game is the opportunity to compete every day with his teammates.
When asked what he enjoys most about playing basketball at Newcastle, Kolton highlighted the bonds he has built with his teammates and coaches. As Newcastle continues to be the fastest-growing city in Oklahoma, the future of Racer athletics is bright, with rising stars coming up from kindergarten through middle school.
Kolton had one piece of advice for younger players:
“Stay consistent in your work, because consistency will take you a long way.”
Head Men’s Basketball Coach Jessie Brown says what truly sets Kolton apart as a Racer is his leadership. Coach Brown specifically notes that Kolton’s actions and work ethic are his greatest strengths as a leader and role model.
